My Story

I love to photograph the natural environment. I remember being inspired by an abstract artwork of a bird in flight on the wall of a forest lodge where we were staying in the Lake District in 2025. I recall praying for some creative inspiration - this prompted me to create a 'nature in a marble' digital art portfolio: www.marbellousmarbles.com

More recently, I was so inspired by a wildflower meadow in Bristol that I returned to photograph these colours to reproduce them in abstract form. These wildflower abstract designs have expanded into this PaintFlicks portfolio celebrating the beauty of nature through a contemporary artistic style utilising generative AI. I hope you enjoy viewing these four collections spanning: flowers and plants, forests and rivers, lakes and mountains, beach and coastal.

The Design Process

All of the artwork in the PaintFlicks portfolio is based on original photos that I have taken - mostly from my phone. Much of this nature photography has been undertaken on dog walks in Bristol and the Lake District. The next step in the design process involves uploading the photo to a generative AI platform and deploying creative prompt engineering to achieve the desired effect. I have applied this technique to my landscape photography from previous holidays and trips. I find the overall process a wonderful way to relax and unwind.
